Warranty

Eligible products are warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year beginning on the date the product is delivered or made available for pickup.

A replacement product or replacement component does not restart or extend the original warranty period.

This Limited Warranty applies only to:

• New products purchased directly from LightCo Depot
• Products used, stored, installed, and operated in accordance with their specifications and instructions
• Products used with the correct voltage, power supply, driver, track system, controls, and compatible components
• Claims supported by valid proof of purchase

This Limited Warranty is non-transferable, except where transferability is required by applicable law.

This Limited Warranty covers verified manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that cause the covered product to fail to operate substantially as intended under normal and properly rated use.

Coverage applies only to the defective product or component. A defect affecting one product does not entitle the customer to replacement of an entire order or lighting system.

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

• Installation, inspection, diagnosis, removal, disassembly, access, reinstallation, repair labor, electrical work, drywall, painting, scaffolding, equipment rental, or contractor charges
• Incorrect product selection, incorrect measurements, design changes, incompatibility, or failure to confirm system requirements before purchase
• Damage caused by improper installation, improper wiring, loose connections, installation errors, or failure to comply with applicable electrical codes or product instructions
• Use with incorrect voltage, an overloaded or incompatible driver, transformer, dimmer, controller, power supply, track system, or other component
• Damage caused by mixing incompatible magnetic track systems, components, drivers, or accessories
• Power surges, lightning, utility fluctuations, electrical faults, outages, generators, or inadequate surge protection
• Water, moisture, condensation, flooding, corrosion, salt air, chemicals, excessive dust, pests, or environmental exposure
• Outdoor, damp-location, or wet-location use unless the product is specifically rated for that application
• Excessive heat, cold, vibration, impact, or operation outside the product’s published specifications
• Accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, modification, disassembly, or damage caused by attempted repair
• Normal wear and tear, ordinary lumen depreciation, reasonable color variation, cosmetic finish variation, discoloration, scratches, dents, or appearance changes that do not materially affect operation
• Shipping or freight damage, which must be handled under the applicable Shipping or Returns Policy
• Products purchased from an unauthorized third party
• Products with removed, altered, or unreadable labels, identifying information, or serial numbers
• Clearance, final-sale, open-box, sample, or discontinued products where the product listing expressly excludes or modifies warranty coverage
• Loss or damage caused by circumstances outside LightCo Depot’s reasonable control

LightCo Depot does not warrant that a product is suitable for a specific project, application, building code, control system, or existing installation. The purchaser and installer are responsible for verifying product suitability, compatibility, measurements, electrical requirements, and code compliance before installation.

To request warranty service, email info@lightcodepot.com during the applicable warranty period and provide:

• Order number and proof of purchase
• Product name, SKU, quantity, and installation address
• A detailed description of the issue
• Clear photographs and, when requested, video of the issue
• Photographs of the installation, wiring, driver, power supply, track, connections, and product labels
• Any voltage readings, troubleshooting information, or installer details reasonably requested by LightCo Depot

The customer must retain the affected product until the claim is completed. Do not discard, alter, uninstall, ship, or return a product unless instructed by LightCo Depot.

LightCo Depot may require reasonable troubleshooting, testing, inspection, return of the affected product, or additional documentation before approving a claim. Failure to provide requested information or the affected product may prevent verification and result in denial of the claim.

The customer should immediately discontinue use of any product that appears damaged, unsafe, overheated, or electrically defective.

For a verified covered defect, LightCo Depot will determine the appropriate remedy and may, at its option:

• Provide a replacement component
• Repair the affected product
• Replace the affected product with the same or a reasonably comparable product
• Issue store credit
• Refund the original purchase price actually paid for the affected product

The selected remedy will constitute LightCo Depot’s complete obligation for the approved claim.

Replacement products may differ in model, dimensions, finish, color temperature, output, packaging, or appearance when the original product has been updated, changed, or discontinued. An exact match is not guaranteed.

Unless LightCo Depot expressly agrees otherwise in writing:

• Labor, removal, reinstallation, access, diagnosis, and contractor costs are not covered
• Customers are responsible for shipping or transporting products to LightCo Depot
• LightCo Depot is not responsible for unauthorized shipping, expedited shipping, or third-party charges
• Products sent without prior authorization may be refused or returned at the sender’s expense

Any prepaid shipping label or shipping accommodation provided by LightCo Depot is limited to the specific approved claim and does not create an obligation for other claims.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE ONE-YEAR PERIOD OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.

Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so this limitation may not apply to you.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIGHTCO DEPOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, PROJECT DELAYS, DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY, OR THIRD-PARTY LABOR OR CONTRACTOR CHARGES.

LIGHTCO DEPOT’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM A COVERED PRODUCT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE AFFECTED PRODUCT.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

No installer, contractor, salesperson, employee, representative, online statement, or verbal communication may expand, alter, or modify this Limited Warranty.

Any modification must be expressly stated in a written document issued by an authorized representative of LightCo Depot.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state.

Nothing in this Limited Warranty limits any non-waivable rights or remedies available under applicable law.
