# Product Warranty

We want you to feel confident when you purchase lighting from LightCo Depot.

All standard purchases include a **1-year warranty at no extra cost**, with the option to upgrade to extended coverage.

## Standard Warranty (Included)

Every eligible product comes with:

- **1-year warranty included** in the price  
- Coverage against manufacturing defects under normal use  
- Support in case of product failure within the warranty period  

This standard warranty does not require any extra payment.

## Extended Warranty Options

For customers who want longer protection, we offer optional extended warranty plans:

- **3-Year Warranty (Total Coverage):**  
  Upgrade your warranty to a total of **3 years** for **$50** per order.

- **5-Year Warranty (Total Coverage):**  
  Upgrade your warranty to a total of **5 years** for **$100** per order.

**Important:**

- Extended warranty must be selected and paid for **at the time of order** (or as agreed in your quote).  
- Unless an extended warranty is purchased, the default coverage is **1 year**.

## What is typically covered?

In general, warranty coverage may include:

- Manufacturing defects  
- Premature failure not caused by misuse or incorrect installation  
- Issues with LED modules, drivers or components that fail under normal use within the warranty period (1, 3 or 5 years, depending on your plan)

## What is not covered?

Warranty does **not** usually cover:

- Damage caused by incorrect installation or wiring  
- Damage from misuse, abuse or modification of the product  
- Damage from water, moisture or outdoor conditions if the product is not rated for such use  
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage or minor variations in finish  
- Damage caused by power surges or unstable electrical supply  

Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional where required.

## Warranty Process

If you believe a product has failed under warranty:

1. Contact us with:
   - Your order number  
   - Product name or SKU  
   - Description of the issue  
   - Clear photos or video showing the problem  

2. We will review your case and may request additional information.

3. If the issue appears to be a warranty-related defect within the active warranty period (1, 3 or 5 years), we will work with you on the next steps, which may include:
   - Replacement of the product  
   - Replacement of specific parts (such as drivers or modules)  
   - Another suitable solution, depending on the situation

## Installation & Responsibility

Lighting products should be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local electrical codes.

- We strongly recommend using a qualified electrician or installer.  
- LightCo Depot is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation.
